Corrie and Eric's Wedding, Amazing moments

Second marriage's are typically spoken as a "Here we go again" moment ... but in all honestly and all my years of Wedding Photography that sentiment couldn't be further from the truth. Corrie and Eric showed so much love, compassion, excitement and understanding between each other and both families that it would put  those giddy and detailed-soon-to-be-green-behind-the-ears-newlyweds to shame.

Now ...
Don't mistake my statements as harsh and assuming too much. I just have so much sincere pride and love for Corrie and Eric that it literally oozes and bleeds from the images I've taken.
Pure magic happened on this night.

Before I met Corrie and Eric...
I was recommended by a friend of Corrie's who contacted me literally weeks before the wedding to see if I was available. Impromptu weddings are incredibly exciting because the anticipation of the unknown is so great. As a photographer you usually don't care much for any last minute surprises, but... I welcomed it and it fired me up even more to come thru for these guys.

In the end... everything about Corrie and Eric's wedding was so wonderful.
So, finally, ... if you ever plan on marrying for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time.... it doesn't have to be any less celebratory than your first time. It can be different, and should be different.... but it shouldn't have any less passion, love or pride for one another than the first time you walked down the aisle.
God Bless Corrie and Eric, you were so wonderful!

Its been a while... but something very special happened!

Well everybody, its been a while since my last blog post.
With scarcity of my blogging you'd think I would have been slow or just not busy enough to post anything with substance. On the contrary, things have been so busy... its hard to remember to keep up on the whole blog posting bit side of my business
. In the past month or so I have been working hard on partners to help me along with my idea of creating an exclusive day for your pets that would make a world of difference. So my wife, my local pet salon (The Bark and Bubble), and 3 other Veterinary Clinics came up with an "Extreme Pet Makeover Day." A day where you would bring your pet to the Bark and Bubble Salon to get them groomed and pampered, then we'd schedule them to come over later that day or the day after to get their professional portrait and actions shots taken at our studio and in our Large Backyard. What fun it would be... and imagine how amazing your pet would feel afterward. So we've been busy. With our Pet Photography venture in full swing and Booking weddings still for 2013-14. Its been a whirlwind month. So thank you for being with us, reading this blog... and being apart of our special moments.

Its a New Year! Welcome

Well, 2013 is here and I've been away from the Blog for about a Month or so. I wanted to spend some much needed time with Family and Friends during the holiday season. So here we are, back again for 2013.

In terms of Bridal Photography, what an amazing time of year it will be. So many fun Photo Sessions and Weddings to shoot at so many very different and obscure venues. If you are a 2013 or 2014 Bride, I wanted to welcome you to what I consider to be a very personal, intimate photographic experience with a style of Photography that eases that emotion, that love and sincerity out of every moment we capture for you. What I do is a passion. You certainly hear that alot from many photographers, practically all photographers... And its true for all of us!
What you don't hear from other Photographers is that I consider what I do a "Passion for Life" in general.
With your approval, I am allowed into a very private and intimate moment of your life and encouraged to capture those moments whenever and wherever they might be. Perhaps even the slightest detail, frozen in a frame and shared positively for the world to see.
Wow... right?
Thats pretty powerful stuff in my opinion.
Thats quite a leap, especially if you are an extremely private individual. I completely am honored by the opportunity to be there for you, your family and that one moment that helps define the term, "special." Come with me now and lets create something magical!

Sharing my Family with all of you this Holiday Season

Say what you will about the movie Mary Poppins, but when I was a little boy maybe 7 or 8; I loved the idea of popping in and out of chalk paintings and riding the foggy winds of London using only a Umbrella.

To this day alot of the work I do in my Wedding Photography and Portrait Photography was inspired heavily by the imaginative movie called Disney's Mary Poppins. You see the color and sincere joy in almost every image I capture. It all comes from that inspiration.  Everything about the movie from the colorful scenes to the dancing and catchy music kept me searching my whole life for that one chalk painting that I could pop in and out of whenever life got me down.
33 years later with an amazing wife and son, I am still obviously inspired by that very kid friendly movie. My grandmother always told me that you are only as old as you feel. Somedays, after a hard days work; I feel pretty old. On the other hand, with days like today where I get to spend it shooting our Christmas Portrait for my own family... I feel like I am a kid again. I wanted to recreate that magic I felt when I was younger. I wanted to see what it would be like to take my family there; to share that magic with them.

With all of this in mind. Don't ever lose your imagination. Don't lose that love for one another or those things that made you happy as a child. And above all... If you can't find that magic, that one thing or moment that made you happy as a kid; Then, Re-create it. If you can't re-create... there will always be someone to help you share in that quest. Perhaps if we are lucky enough, Photo Phrame Photography can re-imagine that special moment for you.  Happy Holidays to all.

So This is the Holidays....

Whenever I have families come over to my Studio. I usually see an initial impression of their expectations such as when they say... "where's the backdrops, scenery, Colorful Props,...etc?" And after that I usually tell them... its up here (as I point to my head). Its Imagination that triggers the creativity and that helps build all these strikingly different, exotic and fun images.
To me, Life is too Ordinary to not be Extraordinary. We live in a world filled with routine, monotony, and the same old same old. On the other hand, my 2 and a half year old son sees everything new for the first time. He says, "Wow Daddy!" and "Cool." Thats what I want out of life for my family and for myself. I want to be Wowed and in turn I want to Wow my families I photograph who have never been apart of something that can be so extraordinary.
The Ramos and Kaulfuss family pictured here were so much fun to work with. If your reading this and haven't decided yet just what you'd like to see in your family photo. Perhaps take a moment... close your eyes, use your imagination and help me create something extraordinary for you.
